2019
KLCC reporter Brian Bull and host Barbara Dellenback were honored for their work at the 2019 Oregon Territory SPJ awards ceremony in Portland.
Bull was deemed a Winner in the General News – Audio Reporting category for his January 2019 feature about how the city of Corvallis is dealing with an increasing homeless population.
Bull’s three-part series on the 20th anniversary of the Thurston High School shooting was also runner up in the Audio News Series category. The segments revisited the events of May 20-21, 1998 and how survivors are coping with the aftermath.

Dellenback took a runner-up win for Sports Audio Reporting for her interview with Bob Welch, former associate editor for the Register-Guard. They discussed Welch’s book on Dick Fosbury and his innovative one-man high jump technique that revolutionized the event.
2011
KLCC's Rachael McDonald, local host of Morning Edition, won a 3rd place award in the Society of Professional Journalists' Pacific Northwest Excellence in Journalism Competition. McDonald won the award for Spot News in the radio division, for her story Occupiers Clean Up Camp of 12/28/11.
The annual awards honor the best media work in Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Idaho, and Montana.
