The University of Oregon Ducks defeated Oregon State 52 to 42 in the 119th Civil War football game Friday at Autzen Stadium.
The number 17th ranked Ducks were leading 31-7 at the half, but the Beavers came roaring back after a 78-yard punt return from Victor Bolden in the 4th quarter.
Oregon Quarterback Vernon Adams reflected on his first and last Civil War experience.
Adams: "It was fun, it was fun out there. It was a little chippy at first and then after that we just played ball and as an offense we just wanted to finish better than what we did. It was a great game on both sides of the ball, but we just want to finish better on offense."

Adams threw for 366 yards, and 3 touchdowns. Running back Royce Freeman rushed for 167 yards and scored twice.
The Ducks have now defeated the Beavs eight times in a row in the Civil War series.
It was a forgettable season for Oregon State which failed to win a single conference game for the first time since 1997.
