Oregon Women's Basketball Predicted To Finish 1st in Pac-12; OSU Picked For 3rd

College basketball season is fast approaching and polls released Monday have local women’s teams faring well this year.

For the third straight year, Oregon was voted the preseason favorite to win the upcoming Pac-12 title. The back to back regular season champion Ducks garnered a maximum number of first place votes in the Pac-12 Coaches Poll. Last year's tournament champions, Stanford, was picked to finish second, with Oregon State predicted to take 3^rd.

Coming off the program’s first-ever trip to the NCAA Women’s Final Four, the Ducks welcome back Wade Trophy and Wooden Award winner and senior Sabrina Ionescu. She’ll lead a squad that returns four starters from last season’s team. Oregon kicks off their season with a home match vs. Northeastern on November 11^th.

The Beavers have the majority of their squad back, including its four starters. OSU is coming off its sixth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance, advancing to the Sweet 16 for the fourth year in a row. Oregon State’s first match is in Corvallis against UC Irvine on November 9^th.
