Oregon advanced to the Sweet Sixteen Monday after upsetting No. 2 Iowa, 95-80, at the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament in Indianapolis.

This will be the second consecutive Sweet Sixteen appearance for seventh-seeded Ducks, who reached that round in the 2019 Tournament.

The Ducks had four players score in double digits. Chris Duarte had 23 points, LJ Figueroa scored 21, Will Richardson added 19, and Eugene Omoruyi had 17 in the win.

Iowa standout Luka Garza, the two-time Big 10 Player of the Year, scored 36 points for Hawkeyes.

This will be Head Coach Dana Altman’s fifth appearance in the Sweet 16 since coming to Oregon in 2011. The Ducks advanced to the Elite Eight under Altman in 2016 and to the Final Four in 2017.
