Horizon Air flight attendants protested outside the Medford airport Sunday as the airline closed its local crew base and contract negotiations stretched into a third year.

Sen. Ron Wyden toured the Medford airport after helping secure federal funds for recent tarmac upgrades. Officials are planning a $180 million expansion to keep up with growing passenger traffic.
