Congressman Peter DeFazio, the top Democrat on the bipartisan Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, will describe his legislative priorities for 2016 and provide an update on his latest work in Congress, including the recently passed bipartisan FAST Act, the first long term transportation bill in nearly a decade.
DeFazio was first elected to represent Oregon's 4th District in 1986 and is the dean of the Oregon House delegation. In 2014, he was elected to the position of Ranking Member on the powerful Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, which has jurisdiction over our nation's highways and transit, aviation, and water resources. He and his wife live in Springfield.
