The Eug Parade is coming back to Eugene this summer. Emily Farthing is coordinator of the event, which is part of Eugene Sunday Streets on July 29th.
She says last year’s parade was very popular, with about 5,000 watching, and about 700 participants.
Farthing: “This year, already, we’ve seen an overwhelming number of entries and people interested in participating and seeking guidance on how they can make their entry more creative. So we’re really excited to make the parade even bigger and better this year.”
Farthing says the theme to the parade is “Spinnin’ Our Wheels”. The Eug Parade will begin at Monroe Park and continue down Broadway. The streets will be closed of most of the day to auto traffic for Eugene Sunday Streets. The city is seeking volunteers and parade entrants.
