Eugene’s expanded Holiday Market has been operating at the Lane Event’s Center for nearly a month. Now, with only four shopping days left, folks are encouraged to hurry in as many vendors are running out of their handcrafted products. KLCC’s Tiffany Eckert reports.
Holiday Market is bigger than ever with more space for additional booths and a large stage for live performances. Vendors have reported record sales this year, a boon for many who were unable to sell last year because of COVID-19.
Marketing manager Vanessa Roy loves the festive feel of the Holiday Market hall. “It has felt like coming home in a lot of ways,” she said. “You know, what I have really enjoyed about Saturday Market and Holiday Market during the pandemic is that it feels a little bit like it used to be—a little bit normal—with safety precautions in place.”
Roys said masks are required and 6-foot distancing is encouraged. She adds if you still want that one-of-a-kind piece or jewelry or leather belt, don’t wait. Holiday Market is only open four more days: this Saturday and Sunday, next Thursday and Friday, Christmas Eve.
