The public is invited to join renowned marine ecologist Jane Lubchenco for an evening of Science and Policy at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Wednesday, April 16 at 6 p.m. A social hour will be held from 5-6 p.m.
Lubchenco's work focuses on the science, policy, communications, and politics around the interactions between people and the environment, especially the ocean, climate change, and nature. She is the Former Deputy Director for Climate and Environment in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (2021-25) and a Distinguished Professor of Integrative Biology, College of Science, Oregon State University.
