Join us on August 1 at 2:00 PM when her daughter-in-law, Shelly Pruitt, will present an Art Talk about Ina's life and art. 🖼️✨

Join us on Saturday, August 15 at 2:00 PM as we welcome award-winning Oregon author Molly Gloss to the O'Brien Memorial Library.

In preparation for her visit, our community is reading her acclaimed novel, The Jump-Off Creek together. Stop by the library to check out a copy and join the conversation!

These River Talks explore and celebrate our local rivers and the many ways they shape our history, culture, and community.

Limited free parking available in “CPE Permit” lot, located at the UO Baker Downtown Center, near 325 E. 10th Ave. No permit required for this special event.

The public is invited to join renowned marine ecologist Jane Lubchenco for an evening of Science and Policy at Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport, Wednesday, April 16 at 6 p.m. A social hour will be held from 5-6 p.m.

Lubchenco's work focuses on the science, policy, communications, and politics around the interactions between people and the environment, especially the ocean, climate change, and nature. She is the Former Deputy Director for Climate and Environment in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (2021-25) and a Distinguished Professor of Integrative Biology, College of Science, Oregon State University.
