Healthy Family's Christmas Vacation

We are so excited to be back in-person this year to continue our mission: to ensure our children and families have access to prevention and wellness programs that continue to improve the health and well-being of Douglas County residents.

A not-for-profit corporation established in 1973 and managed by a board of respected citizens, Mercy Foundation strives to identify and fill the unmet health care needs of Douglas County residents.

Mercy Foundation's ability to help make stable, compassionate health care widely available in our community is dependent solely on the goodwill and support of individual citizens, businesses, and other foundations.

Seven Feathers Casino Resort is nestled among tall Douglas firs and pine trees, just off of Interstate 5, exit 99, 25 miles south of Roseburg and 45 miles north of Grants Pass in Canyonville, Oregon.

This is an exhibition of an art show that was delayed by Covid for 3 years! On display will be 44 small collages in total as well as 16 recent abstract paintings and found object sculptures.

Marilyn Kent is a library employee who uses recycled book pages in her collages and paintings.

Kent will be on-hand for a soft opening of the exhibit on Dec. 1st.

Join us every Friday night for loads of fun! We have free food, air hockey, virtual reality, video games, table tennis, arcade basketball and more every week.

Event sponsored by the city's Youth Empowerment Program.

Youth Empowerment Program (YEP) is a new unit of Eugene Rec consisting of the Resolve Youth Restorative Justice Program, Inclusion Program and a new Youth Empowerment Program. The existing Inclusion Program and the new Youth Empowerment Program are funded through the Community Safety Initiative.

All art lovers are invited to participate in the New Zone's First Friday reception on December 1st, 5:30pm-7:30pm.

In addition to the eclectic mix of art created by the New Zone members, there are three special shows during the month of December:

• “Fiber Art – A Layered Conversation”. Muse influenced fiber art by Candace Hunter.

• “Vienna – Behind the Façade” . An affectionate look at little-seen parts of this famous city by Doremus Scudder

• “The Show is a Foot”. An exhibit of one-foot-or-less sized work, at $100 or less, by members of the New Zone Artist Collective.

• Live Music by David Gregoire – piano & vocals

In addition to these shows, we will have our traditional “Christmas Bazaar” featuring a fine mix of handcrafted artsy items that are perfect as gift for a loved one, and at prices that won’t rip a whole in your wallet.

Celebrate Eugene’s vibrant art scene during the December 1st First Friday ArtWalk! Start your self-guided tour at Farmers Market Pavilion (85 E 8th Ave), where you can pick up your ArtWalk Guide and shop the Artist Marketplace before exploring the many galleries and art venues of Downtown Eugene. Then return to the Farmers Market Pavilion to dance into the weekend with 2023’s Best Local Band, Acoustic Sugar Beets, from 6:00pm-8:00pm! The monthly First Friday ArtWalk is from 5:30pm-8:00pm and is always free.
