Tower Theater will be screening the film Coco in Spanish with English subtitles with a pre-show happy hour for Unpaid caregivers can join early for an opportunity to mingle with other caregivers, and to have one-on-one time with service providers from the Council on Aging, Partners In Care, Volunteers in Medicine, Alzheimer’s Association, and more.

As part of the City of Bend Welcoming Week, The Tower Theatre, Partners In Care, Council On Aging, and Bend Film, Welcomes Unpaid Family Caregivers to a Movie Night. Unpaid caregivers are typically family members who provide care for those who cannot care for themselves. Caregivers are vulnerable to burnout and isolation, which has negative consequences for the caregiver and the one being cared for. For our immigrant and refugee neighbors who experience additional barriers, such as language, literacy, or navigation of resources, the risks are higher. This event will provide the opportunity for service connection and community building for our unpaid caregivers across all communities.
