Eugene Ballet's Alice in Wonderland
Eugene Ballet's Alice in Wonderland
Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole in this imaginative ballet filled with humor, wonder, and unforgettable characters. Created by Toni Pimble, Alice in Wonderland brings Lewis Carroll’s beloved story to life through playful choreography, whimsical design, and vivid stagecraft. Flowing silk fabrics transform into the Pool of Tears, curious creatures appear at every turn, and Wonderland unfolds through the eyes of a curious child.
Narrated live by Bill Hulings as Lewis Carroll, the performance helps guide audiences through the story, making it especially welcoming for children and families experiencing ballet for the first time.
The program also includes The Large Rock and The Little Yew by Suzanne Haag, a poetic ballet inspired by a story by local author Gregory Ahlijian about a tiny seed that grows against all odds.
Together, these two works create an imaginative and heartfelt program celebrating curiosity, resilience, and the unique perspective of childhood.
