A Eugene Opera favorite returns to share his voice with our patrons for just one evening. Lawrence Barasa Kiharangwa, (Nairobi, Kenya), began his musical training as a member of The Kenyan Boys Choir, where he performed with artists including The Tenors, Jonas Brothers, Nelly Furtado, Ellie Goulding, Ciara, and Demi Lovato, among others. A graduate of the University of Oregon, Lawrence has performed title roles with Eugene Opera, Astoria Music Festival and University of Oregon School of Music and Dance and has since launched into the world of opera, appearing at Maryland Opera, Santa Fe Opera, and Pensacola Opera. We welcome him back for an unforgettable evening of music, featuring selections by Duparc, Obradors, and Donizetti, along with African art songs, accompanied by renowned pianist Nathalie Fortin.
