This One Set Wednesday features guitarist Henry Ivie-Gardner for a concert featuring original and contemporary jazz compositions with exciting improvisation and danceable rhythms inspired by hip-hop, R&B & soul. Afterwards trumpeter Paul Krueger will host a second set jam session.

Henry Ivie-Gardner is a guitarist and producer who is currently studying jazz at the university of Oregon. Henry has released multiple singles this last year collaborating with musicians, Nicole McCabe, Machado Mijiga, Ken Mastrogiovanni, Julian Borkowski and Isaac Luger. These tunes are deeply inspired by jazz-funk and hip-hop artists such as Roy Hargrove, Herbie Hancock and others. Henry Is an imaginative improviser who strives to combine a deep reverence for the music with a thoughtful pursuit of new sounds to create something fresh that connects with the listener.
