Yachats Community Presbyterian Church presents the second annual Oktoberfest. "Tapping of the Keg" on Friday, September 27, at 5:30 PM with the Mayor and dignitaries, Rogue Brewery created Yachats Brew for sampling and purchasing commemorative stein, 10-piece accordion band for dancing the "chicken dance" all held in the Yachats Commons, 441 Hy 101. Saturday, September 28, 11 AM, Volkswalk, pick up your Passport, visit the shops and get it stamped, then return for prizes. Saturday afternoon and evening, three-course German Dinner, two seatings, 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, dance to the music of the accordion band and Yachats famous Big Band. Sunday, September 29, Harvest Worship Service, Yachats Community Presbyterian Church, 360 West 7th Street. The accordion band accompanies the hymns, a chorale, singing, and a German-themed reception follows. Costumes are appreciated but not required.
