Welcome saxophonist Olivia Fields for a great evening of jazz standards and original compositions featuring a rhythm section of up-and-coming PDX jazz musicians.

Olivia Fields is a saxophonist from Portland, Oregon. While growing up in the Portland jazz community, Olivia studied with jazz legends John Nastos and Alan Jones who encouraged her to develop the fiery tone and the interactive playing she has come to be known for. When home in Portland, Olivia can be heard performing with amazing local musicians Garrett Baxter, Noah Simpson, Matt Sazima and Adriana Wagner. Olivia is recently completed her master’s degree in jazz studies at the University of Oregon, where she played lead alto in the Oregon Jazz Ensemble, directed her own large and small ensembles, and studied world- renowned musicians Idit Shner, Joe Manis, Steve Owen, and Keith Brown.
