Two New Exhibitions at Scalehouse Gallery
Two New Exhibitions at Scalehouse Gallery
Scalehouse Gallery presents two concurrent solo exhibitions exploring presence, attention, and our relationship to landscape and time. Thin Places by Hannah Jensen and Be Right Back by Victoria L. Smits.
Thin Places, a solo exhibition by Central Oregon–based artist Hannah Jensen, draws from the ancient concept of landscapes where the boundary between worlds feels especially permeable. Working in acrylic and oil, Jensen’s paintings act as love letters to the natural world, using vibrant color, intentional layering, and intuitive lines to evoke memory, reverence, and the sacredness of place.
Be Right Back, a solo exhibition by interdisciplinary artist and writer Victoria L. Smits, offers a pause from urgency and productivity. Through installation, sound, found objects, drawing, and viewer response, the exhibition creates space for rest, reflection, and nervous system regulation, inviting viewers to slow down and notice what is present.
The event is free and open to the public.
