Correctional Health Contract Extended at Springfield Municipal Jail

The City of Springfield

Monday night, Springfield City Council members unanimously approved the authorization of a contract amendment with Correctional Health Partners, LLC. Health care services will continue to be provided for arrestees in the Springfield Municipal Jail.

The jail has worked with Correctional Health Partners since October 2018. According to meeting documents, CHP’s service model has increased onsite medical service hours at the jail clinic and increased the staff members providing medical and mental health services.

The group has also expanded responsibilities involving discharge planning for people who are at high risk of reoffending due to mental illness or substance abuse.

The amendment will extend the term of service through September 30, 2021 with a 3% increase, which will be $46,058.50 per month, and $552,702 annually.
