Authorities Arrest Men Seen Laughing, Throwing Illegal Fireworks Out Of Vehicle

A fire caused by illegal fireworks thrown from a car have led to the arrest of two men.

On July 4th, Tyler Weeks and passenger Tristan Forrest were seen throwing a lit firework from their vehicle and laughing. A Lincoln County Deputy spotted their vehicle afterwards, and spotted more illegal fireworks in their possession after pulling them over. Both men admitted to their actions.

The firework-caused blaze happened near Milepost 31 in the Alsea, Oregon area.

Meanwhile, crews with the Alsea Fire Department and the Benton County Sheriff’s office tackled the fire, which burned nearly two-thirds of an acre along Highway 34.

Weeks and Forrest were booked on arson, reckless burning, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief, as well as possessing illegal fireworks.
