It’s school choice time here in the Eugene School District. Beginning January 1st, parents have the entire month to explore their options for the 2019-2020 school year.
Families can then request a spot for their child at their school of choice. In order to be considered for your top pick, all applications must be submitted to the lottery system by January 31st.
All 4J schools hold open houses or other opportunities to visit this month. And, there’s an elementary school ‘showcase’ on January 12th.
Families who live outside of 4J have the entire month of March to make their selections.
Requests are then approved by a lottery system.
Students can also enroll in their neighborhood school at any time.
