As of midnight Tuesday western Lane County is in “extreme” (RED) for public use fire restrictions.
The Oregon Department of Forestry announced the change citing

triple digit high temperatures and low humidity forecast this week.
The “extreme” restrictions mean campfires are prohibited, as well as the use of gas or diesel powered equipment, except for mowing green grass in a well-irrigated yard.
Industrial fire precaution levels are at 3.
