Three new positive COVID-19 cases were identified this weekend bringing the total to 38 in Lane County. Two involve senior care facilities in Eugene.

On Saturday April 11, the Lane County Public Health Department announced an employee of River Grove Memory Care had tested positive. Families of residents and staff have been notified.

The facility says they’re practicing social distancing, requiring staff to wear masks, and are cleaning and sanitizing regularly. For privacy reasons, no additional identifying information was given about the individual by the health department.

On Sunday April 12, two more cases were announced. One was an individual who had access to the Good Samaritan Society Eugene Village. The facility has been in contact with staff, residents, and families of residents. As with Saturday's case, no further information regarding the individual's identity was given.

The second positive COVID-19 result announced on April 11 was a female in her 20s from outside the Eugene-Springfield area. She is home at a private residence and is medically stable.

All cases are currently under communicable disease investigations by Lane County Public Health.
