Reser Stadium To Host Mass Vaccination Event

Oregon State Athletics

The football stadium used by the Oregon State Beavers will host a mass vaccination event next week.

The Beavers haven’t played a home game in front of fans since Nov. 16, 2019 when OSU defeated Arizona State 35-34. But next week, Reser Stadium in Corvallis will once again welcome people through its gates as part of an effort to vaccinate against COVID-19.

Benton County public information officer Alyssa Rash said it’s hard to say how many people will get a dose at the three-day event. “As much as we can plan for a mass vaccination event, we ask that people understand that we are limited by how much vaccine we receive,” she said.

The vaccination event is open to people who live in Benton, Linn or Lincoln Counties and is limited to people in the Oregon Health Authority’s “Phase 1a” group, which includes medical workers and first responders. The clinic is a joint project between the three counties as well as Samaritan Health Services.

Similar events have been held at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany and at the Lincoln County Commons in Newport.

The Reser Stadium clinic is scheduled for Jan. 26 - 28. People who are eligible and interested in receiving a dose are asked to visit the Benton County COVID-19 vaccine website in advance.
