After a year and a half of construction and three million dollars, Florence has an updated city hall building. Still in the same location on Hwy 101, the building has an additional two thousand square feet.
Megan Messmer, city project manager in Florence describes the renovated space.
“So, even though our main operating space is the same footprint it just seems bigger and more open and a lot of that are those little updates that we did, the light in the building, as I mentioned, improve the connectivity so you can get from one side to the other easily, and then just bring in those modern features.”
Messmer also said it’s nice to have everyone back together under one roof, which should help efficiency. The grand opening of the new city hall is on Tuesday, February 19th at 5pm.
