Ballots For Lane County Special Election Due May 18

Rachael McDonald

Officials are reminding registered voters in Lane County, who have not cast their ballots yet, to submit them to official drop box sites after Wednesday. Mailed ballots sent after May 12 might not arrive in time for the May 18 Special Election.

All ballots must be received by the Lane County Elections Office, or in a drop box site by 8 p.m. on May 18. No postage is required for official drop box sites.

Lane County Clerk Cheryl Betschart said to ensure all votes are counted, voters must sign the identification envelope that lists their printed name and address. The signature must also match their most current voter registration card.

A map of Official Ballot Drop Box Sites is linked here. More information at LaneCounty.org.
