Benton County Prepares ‘Second Dose’ Mass Vaccination Clinic

CDC

Benton County says it’s planning another mass vaccination clinic in cooperation with Samaritan Health Services this Thursday and Friday (Feb. 25 and 26) at Reser Stadium in Corvallis.

This will be the county’s first event that features second doses of the vaccine. First doses will also be available to eligible people. The county says due to delayed shipments, only the Moderna vaccine is available for second doses at this time. The Pfizer vaccine will be used for first doses only.

Currently, people aged 70 or more in Oregon are eligible to receive a first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. Other eligible people include health care workers, educators and prisoners. To determine eligibility, visit the Oregon Health Authority website.

Being eligible to receive the vaccine does not guarantee one will be available. Slots for this week's vaccine clinic are filled. Benton County is urging people interested in getting the vaccine to fill out an online form that will allow the county to contact people when a slot is available.

The survey is available in English and Spanish

For more information about the Reser Stadium event, visit the Benton County website.
