EPD Seeks Other Possible Victims Of Man Sentenced For Sexual Abuse

Eugene Police are seeking tips on further possible victims of a man sentenced on sexual abuse charges.

40-year-old Edward Samuel Thompson was sentenced today  to 125 years in prison. He was convicted on multiple charges of rape, sodomy, and sex abuse in a case involving a child under 12.

The abuse happened between 2012 and late August, 2018.

Thompson was arrested August 21st, 2018 for possessing child pornography.

At that time, Thompson was a long-term member and music ministry leader at Christ Fellowship Church, and a former member of Eugene Faith Center.  Investigative reports show that Thompson had traveled to California, Idaho, Montana, and Arizona prior to his arrest.
