Lincoln County Invites Groups To Apply To Hold Vaccine Clinics

Lincoln County Public Health

Public health officials in Lincoln County are extending an invitation to community groups and businesses that are interested in holding a COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

The county is already hosting walk-in clinics in Newport, Yachats and Lincoln City. Now, officials are hoping to schedule worksite or community vaccine events to help reach those who have had a hard time getting vaccinated due to work schedules or transportation challenges.

Lincoln County Public Health has a form on its website that groups can fill out with information about how many people would potentially receive the vaccine, and the best times and places to hold the mobile clinic.

As of Friday, Lincoln County was second in the state when it comes to vaccination rates, trailing only Benton County. According to the Oregon Health Authority, just over half of Lincoln County was fully or partially vaccinated against the coronavirus.
