Woman Arrested For Criminal Mischief After Eugene Restaurant Damaged For Second Time

A Eugene restaurant is cleaning up after being vandalized for the second time in a month—allegedly by the same woman.

Early Tuesday morning, Eugene Police responded to multiple calls on a female who was throwing bottles at the windows of restaurants near the University of Oregon campus. Officers found the front glass door of Elk Horn Brewery shattered. Inside, there was extensive damage. The Eugene police bomb squad was dispatched to handle Molotov cocktails that were left inside the building.

A woman matching the described suspect was arrested in a parking lot nearby. Courtney Lee Albin was charged with criminal mischief, burglary and attempted arson. (The charges are subject to review by the Lane County District Attorney.)

Melinda McLaughlin is with EPD. She says there were questions about whether the suspect had ever done anything similar in the past.

“When we looked we found that she had been arrested September 13th for a separate incident at the same location at Elk Horn and in that incident glass had been broken at the business.”

Albin is being held at the Lane County jail.
