Oregon Holds Off Wisconsin To Win Fourth Rose Bowl Title

@OregonFootball Twitter

The 106th Rose Bowl was a fight to the finish, and ended with victory for the Oregon Ducks.

It was a game full of lead changes but in the end, No. 6 ranked Oregon topped No. 8 Wisconsin with a final score of 28-27. This was the fourth Rose Bowl title for the Ducks.

It was a phenomenal scoring game for Senior quarterback and Eugene native Justin Herbert who was named the Offensive Player of the Game. In his final outing as a Duck he scored three rushing touchdowns- he’d only scored one all season before the Rose Bowl.

Oregon’s Brady Breeze was named the Defensive Player of the Game after scoring one touchdown and getting 11 tackles. He was critical in the four Wisconsin turnovers, three of which Oregon turned into touchdowns.

Oregon was down 10-7 at the end of the first quarter and went into the half trailing 17-14. After a quick turnover and score by the Ducks in the third, the Badgers once again went on top and were up by 6 at the start of the fourth quarter. Herbert’s third touchdown put the Ducks ahead, where they stayed until the end.

The Ducks finished the season 12-2, with a Pac-12 title, and now the 2020 Rose Bowl Champions.
