No. 8 Oregon State is out at the 2021 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, after a 59-42 loss to No. 1 South Carolina Tuesday in San Antonio.

Play was close in the first quarter, but the Gamecocks led by 12 at the half and continued to outplay the Beavers for the remainder of the game. OSU was 31% in field-goal shooting, and made 15% of 3-point attempts.

Taylor Jones had 13 points and Aleah Goodman scored 10. South Carolina's Aliya Boston scored 19.

Tuesday's loss ended a streak of four straight Sweet Sixteen appearances for Oregon State.
