The Oregon Football team beat Ohio State 35 to 28 Saturday in Columbus. This was the number 12 Ducks first win against the 3rd ranked Buckeyes after losing in the nine previous games between the two teams.
CJ Verdell made two rushing touchdowns and caught another. Quarterback Anthony Brown had a turnover-less day. The game was won in part on the strength of the Duck’s defense including stopping three of the Buckey’s attempts to convert on 4th down and a 4th quarter interception by Verone McKinley III.
This upset was one of the few times a Pac-12 team has defeated top 5 ranked non-conference opponent.
The Ducks will be at home in Eugene next weekend to play Stony Brook.
