KVAL's David Walker died Monday after a long illness

KVAL news anchor David Walker died Monday morning after a long illness.

A longtime familiar face and voice on local news, Walker was 67. KVAL reports Walker was with the Eugene area station for more than 20 years. He was previously in TV and radio news in Coos Bay.

Walker is known for anchoring the evening news on KVAL for many years. He’s survived by his wife Jane, and a son and daughter.
