The Axé Percussion Festival will bring together artists from Eugene and beyond for free interactive performances for all age groups and abilities at the Amazon Park on September 8, 2024. Come join the fun as performers share different percussion and dance styles.

Samba Já is organizing the festival and we are a local nonprofit that has been fostering community through drumming and cultural exchange for 20 years.

AXÉ (ah-SHEH) comes from the Yoruba language and is colloquially used in Brazilian culture to express good vibes, agreement, and wellbeing. It gives name to a genre of music from Bahia, Brazil.
