Photography at Oregon’s 47th Annual Exhibit and Auction is nearly upon us! We’ve already received an impressive collection of print donations from noted photographers locally and nationally. So far, contributions include prints from artists such as Christopher Burkett, Christopher Landis, Ken Hawkins and Brian Lanker, as well as outstanding works from many exceptional local and regional artists, such as Michael Z. Taylor, Barbora Bakalarova, Sarah Grew, Walt O’Brien, and Doremus Scudder, just to name a very few.

As in years past, there will be three Auction Exhibits featuring prints from the Online Auction at Dot Dotson's Gallery in Eugene, one each in May, June and July. This year, the online auction and the three exhibits will run concurrently. You can view a select number of photographs at Dot Dotson's each month and view and bid on the entire selection of over 85 photographs online at auctria.events/PAO2025.

The first installment of the PAO Auction Exhibit opens Friday, May 2nd
at Dot Dotson’s Gallery, 1668 Willamette St. Eugene, OR 97401

There will be an Opening Reception from 5-6 p.m., complete with wine and hors d’oeuvres. We hope to see you there.

The exhibit will run all of May, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. till 1:00 p.m.

The Online Auction itself will be open for bids starting May 1st and continuing through July 31st. The entire selection of photographs will be online.

We are looking forward to an active turnout for the 2025 Auction! Remember, that all auction proceeds go toward promoting and sponsoring photography exhibits and events by PAO, as they have for the past 45 years. Our success is directly due to the generosity of many fine photographers donating work, giving back to the medium we all love, as well as the generosity and commitment of our bidders.

Grammy winner and perennial OBF favorite, Paul Jacobs, returns with one of Bach’s final and most enigmatic works. The unfinished collection of fugues and canons is a love letter to counterpoint and all those who adore it.

When you sign up to show up for your writing work, you’re so much more likely to actually do it. These low-key write-ins give you the space, time, and community to make it happen.

NO ONE HAS TO FACE PARKINSON'S DISEASE ALONE!

Whether you are new to the Parkinson’s journey or find yourself ready to embrace the knowledge and support of professionals and peers – welcome!

Just as every person diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease is different, support groups vary in format, group dynamics, and topics discussed, and also include specialty groups for care partners, newly diagnosed, and young onset.

This gathering of peers whose lives have been touched by Parkinson’s meet monthly to share information, provide mutual support, and learn coping skills. It’s a safe place to get together with people who understand.

Everyone is welcome to join in each of these events, whether you have never picked up a disc or are a seasoned veteran! Bring a couple putters if you have them, or you can borrow some of ours.

Players will pay a small fee ($5 for adults, $3 for juniors [18 or younger]) to play a 9 hole disc golf putting course at Alton Baker Park. Youth with the 1Pass can play for free.

Players will compete for weekly prizes and earn entries into a raffle that will be held at the end of the series finale!

For an extra $1 per round, players can also play for cash each week! The extra $1 will be added to a growing money pot. If a player makes all 9 putts with the designated "money" putter from each station, you win the money pot! Multiple winners in a week will split the pot. Any remaining funds at the end of the series finale will go towards the club fundraiser.

These events are fundraisers for both the Eugene Disc Golf Club (EDGC) junior grant fund as well as UPlay Disc Golf ( @uplaydiscgolf ).
