It's Whale Watch Week along the Oregon Coast! In winter approximately 18,000 gray whales travel south to the warm lagoons of Baja Mexico. Mid-December through mid-January is the peak of whale migration past Oregon. Spot Gray whales and partake in whale watch counts along the Oregon Coast. Talk to knowledgeable volunteers at the Heceta Head Lighthouse, Yachats State Recreation Area and Cape Perpetua Turnout all week long from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Whales are an awesome sight to behold. Winter Whale Watch Week is part of the "Whale Watching Spoken Here" by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.

Enjoy live music on Saturday and Sunday 5-6pm, shop the holiday market, and visit with Santa on Sunday from 3-4pm. Toast s'mores in the fire pit and sip on hot cocoa and enjoy festive lights.

This free class welcomes all levels of sewing experience and covers everything from basic hand-stitching to beginner machine techniques. You’re free to bring personal projects or simply come to learn, share ideas, and receive guidance from others. Sewing machines are available, though you’re encouraged to bring your own if you have one.

Holiday Lights are set to sparkle again on Oregon’s Adventure Coast this season at Shore Acres State Park. Perched on the rugged cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Shore Acres State Park is famous for its beautiful 7-acre botanical gardens and Japanese lily pond. Visitors get a chance to stroll through this holiday tradition every night from 4:30pm to 9:00pm, Thanksgiving through New Year’s Eve – including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It has become a real holiday tradition for the whole family. Admission is always free! However, parking at Shore Acres any time of the year is $10.

If you’re planning to drive, you will need a special Time-Specific Parking Pass in advance again this year. In an effort to reduce wait times and backed up traffic conditions, you’ll be required to make a Parking Pass reservation to visit. These Parking Passes are per vehicle, not per person. The passes are only $10 per vehicle, unless you already have an annual park pass (see Important Park Pass Information below). Either way, an advance online reservation is required. Parking Passes are managed by the Oregon State Parks.

What a year it has been! Celebrate 365 days of multi-genre music venue madness with us as we do what we do best: PLAY! The extended Rosebud team has been mixing drinks, twisting knobs, and posting events behind the scenes… now is your chance to see what we can bring to the stage.

The TEAL Artist Coop will opens its seasonal store on Oct. 31 at 328 SW 2nd St. in downtown Corvallis. Every October, the team of artists transforms an otherwise vacant storefront into a gallery offering unique gifts, hand-made in the Willamette Valley. The store will be open through Dec. 28.

This year, 21 artists are participating in TEAL, and the gallery—staffed by the artists—will sell fine works of fiber, leather, glass, wood, mixed media and paper, as well as ceramics, jewelry and paintings.

TEAL makes a charitable donation earmarked for art education from a portion of its annual gallery proceeds. This year’s recipient will be Mountain View Elementary School in Corvallis.

Join the Creswell Crafters Circle on the fourth Sunday of each month. Artists and crafters ages 14+ are invited to bring a project, get creative, and enjoy relaxed conversation with fellow makers.
