According to photographer Elliott Erwitt, “Color is descriptive. Black and white is interpretive.” Color plays a significant role in how we see and perceive the world around us. Without it, we have to rely on our imagination, experience and knowledge to interpret what we see. Viewers may also focus more on the subject matter and its emotional state, taking time to look closer and reflect.

With this exhibition of works in black and white, we hope you will slow down with us and ruminate over the interplay of light, shade and outlines.
