Haze Settles Over Western Oregon

Anni Katz

Monday’s air quality is slightly improved in Eugene, Springfield and Cottage Grove. Oakridge continues to have unhealthy levels of particulate matter due to smoke from the area’s wildfires. That’s according to the Lane Regional Air Protection Agency.

Over the weekend, Eugene and Springfield experienced very unhealthy air quality levels. Saturday evening visibility at the Eugene airport was less than 2 miles. Today, air quality is listed as Unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Oakridge’s air quality remains listed as Unhealthy today, that’s unchanged from the weekend.

You can get current air quality levels at LRAPA's website, http://www.lrapa.org/216/Todays-Current-Air-Quality
