Douglas County has issued a temporary ban on open fires at inland county parks and campgrounds. The decision was made due to the current extreme fire risk in the area. The recent barrage of new wildfire upstarts, including the Skyline Ridge Complex, has increased concerns for the safety of residents and visitors.
The open fires ban includes charcoal BBQ grills and wood campfires.

River Forks Park, near Roseburg, is not included in the ban, because it is still irrigated, green and managed by a host.
Propane gas heaters and lanterns will be allowed at all parks. But-- visitors are urged to use extreme caution and practice fire safety measures at all times.
