The Eugene School District has finalized a contract with its classfied employees union.
The school board approved the new 4-year agreement at its meeting on Wednesday night, after the union ratified it on Tuesday.
It includes cost of living increases for all classfied employees - at least 2% per year. Also, increased district contribution to employees' health insurance and modifications to sick and personal leave.
The bargaining teams met numerous times from February through June, when a tentative agreement was reached.
The Oregon School Employees Association represents classfied staff like education assistants, custodians, bus drivers and food service workers.
