Lane County Announces Weekend COVID-19 Case Counts And Deaths

Lane County Public Health was notified over the weekend of 103 additional cases and four (4) new deaths from COVID-19. 

Health officials report 16 people are currently hospitalized –with six of them in Intensive Care Units.

An 80-year old woman and an 84-year old man died on Saturday. A 50-year old man passed away on Sunday. After reviewing vital records, it was discovered the death of an 80-year old man on October 19th was caused by COVID-19. All are from the Eugene/Springfield area.

Thirty-two (32) Lane County residents have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.
