It’s been challenging for Lane County Public Health to staff COVID-19 booster clinics while it’s also administering pediatric doses. The county expects to get help from the state next week.

Lane County Public Health spokesperson Jason Davis said they expect to have additional booster clinics at the Peacehealth annex at Riverbend in Springfield in addition to the clinics at Lane Events Center in Eugene.

“We do anticipate that this will really expand the footprint of booster shots in our community which is tremendous for those people who’ve been wanting one but haven’t been able to get one,” he said.

Davis said people can also get boosters at pharmacies and their primary care offices. But the help from Oregon Health Authority will allow public health to increase booster distribution to about 500 a day.
