PeaceHealth Rides Starts Installation on Its Bike Sharing Stations

PeaceHealth Rides

If you’re in Eugene, you may start seeing blue bike rack stations around town soon. And in a couple weeks, you can get access to them. KLCC’s Deonna Anderson has more.

PeaceHealth Rides started installing racks for its bike share program Thursday. Once it officially launches on April 19th, residents can sign up to use one of the 300 bikes available. Lindsey Hayward, the program’s general manager, shares where the 35 stations are.

“Those stations will range from on campus at the University of Oregon through downtown Eugene, the heart of Eugene, and the Whitaker neighborhood will be the phase one system to start,” she says.

The bike share program will grow in five phases. Over the next five years, PeaceHealth Rides will expand into other parts of the city.
