Two weeks after filing to run for a seat on the Lane County Board of Commissioners, Sandra Mann is dropping out of the race. Citing health reasons, Mann says she felt withdrawing now is better than waiting until later. She says she does not plan to run for office again.
Mann was seeking the District 4 seat currently held by Commissioner Pat Farr, representing North Eugene. Farr has not yet filed for re-election.
This was Mann's third try for elected office. She previously ran for Sid Leiken's seat on the Lane County Board and against John Lively for state representative.
