Lane County Clinton Supporters Optimistic Despite Primary Defeat

Hillary Clinton lost to Bernie Sanders in the Oregon Primary Tuesday. But her supporters are confident she will be the Democratic Presidential nominee.

Evangelina Sundgrenz is Lane County organizer for the Clinton campaign. At a watch party Tuesday night she told supporters they can take a week off. But then it's time to work for the general election in November. Sundgrenz says she believes Clinton can defeat presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Sundgrenz: "If anything, I am excited because Hillary Clinton is the candidate that can go against Trump. She is the candidate that has the most international and domestic experience."
Oregon was widely expected to favor Sanders in the primary. Sundgrenz says many of the Vermont Senator's supporters told her they plan to vote for Clinton in November.
