As Spring Break comes to an end, Oregon school districts are navigating how to equitably teach classes remotely. The Eugene 4J school district is working to remove barriers to learning for low-income students.
From March 30 to April 3, the district will distribute loaner student devices and support parents in getting internet access. Families in need of a loaner device or wifi, should fill-out the online technology survey on the 4J website.
As of today, 4J has received over 13,700 responses to the survey. 4J staff will start calling the remaining 2,500 students they have not heard from.
The Eugene 4J School District is preparing to start online learning on April 6.
