Some Restrictions Eased For Lincoln, Douglas Counties

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Some coronavirus restrictions will be eased in Lincoln and Douglas Counties starting this Friday.

In the latest update to the state’s risk categories, Lincoln and Douglas Counties were moved from “extreme risk” to “high risk.” The change means restaurants in those counties will once again be permitted to offer indoor dining. Indoor recreation facilities such as gyms will be allowed to re-open, and outdoor recreation facilities will be permitted to serve more people. Residents of long-term care facilities will also be allowed indoor visits.

The changes come as a result of decreasing case counts in those counties. Most of the state, including Lane, Linn, Benton and Deschutes Counties remain in the most restricted category. The next update will come in mid-January.
