In the second of a two part interview, Host Bob Edwards talks with Martin Goldsmith former host of NPR's Performance Today, about his book The Inextinguishable Symphony: A True Story of Music and Love in Nazi Germany. The book recounts the life of Goldsmith's parents, who were members of the all-Jewish Kulturbund orchestras in Frankfurt and Berlin in Nazi Germany. Rosemarie Gumpert played viola; Gunther Goldschmidt played flute.
