Market Fest Presented by WaFd Bank Celebrates the Best of Eugene

Fourth annual event to feature live music, food and activities for all ages
Make your way to 5th Street Public Market beginning Friday, Aug. 25 for the fourth annual MARKET FEST – a FREE, three-day community festival presented by WaFd Bank.
The best bands, musicians, and entertainers in the Pacific Northwest will ignite the crowd, locally crafted beverages will be offered in the beer garden, and local vendors and artists will fill the Market for this once-a-year CELEBRATION of our community.
There will be fun for all ages with a kids’ zone, food trucks, interactive art, a pet parade, live music and performances, a car show and more.
This popular annual event also gives back to the community by donating a portion of food and beverage sales to a local nonprofit. This year’s nonprofit partner – Catholic Community Services of Lane County – will also be awarded an additional $10,000 donation from WaFd Bank’s Foundation to further the organization’s mission to keep families housed, shelter the unhoused, feed the hungry, resettle refugees, and assist immigrants.

The fun kicks off at 4pm on Friday, Aug. 25 through Sunday, Aug. 27 – featuring a variety of entertainment and activities for the entire family.
Friday, Aug. 25
Live music kicks off on the WaFd Main Stage with Springfield High Mariachi del Sol at 4pm, followed by The Party Kings at 5:15pm, and Dancehall Days from 7 – 10pm. Kids can enjoy a 24-foot inflatable slide and more in the WPI Kids’ Zone. This year the adults will enjoy inflatables too with an inflatable obstacle course located on 5th Avenue. Attendees will also be treated to a wide selection of food trucks, vendor booths, a Touch-A-Truck interactive space for children of all ages hosted by Delta Sand and Gravel, and performances throughout the 5th Street Market District. Fun will spill out onto 5th Street with tailgate games, face painting, and interactive art.
Saturday, Aug. 26
The fun continues at 9am on Saturday morning with a pet parade hosted by Greenhill Humane Society, as well as the Pedego Bike Ride which begins at Alton Baker Park and ends at the Market Alley. Music in the Alley will begin at 10am and all other festival events open at 11am, including live performances throughout the day on two stages. Attendees will also be treated to a Eugene Police Department K-9 Unit demonstration, Critter Crew rescue animals, ArtCity arts and crafts, and Healthy Moves fitness for kids. On Saturday evening enjoy tunes from Motel Kalifornia followed up by High Street Band, one of the top-rated bands on the West Coast.
Sunday, Aug. 27
The party continues Sunday with LCC Jazz playing during a community breakfast benefiting Catholic Community Services of Lane County. Tickets for the breakfast are available at www.eugenemarketfest.com. NTouch Detailing is sponsoring a vintage car show happening on 5th Avenue. All activities, music, food and product vendors and the beer garden will be open!
